Central Florida Junior Leagues Unite Against Human Trafficking

DAYTONA BEACH, FL – This month, The Junior Leagues of Daytona Beach, Greater
Orlando and Tampa have united against Human Trafficking. The month-long campaign is
designed to generate awareness of Human Trafficking via the “Coast to Coast” campaign, which
serves to highlight the exceptional vulnerability along the I-4 Corridor.
The campaign runs across several media, including Out-of-Home and Social Media.
In addition, the Junior League of Daytona Beach (JLDB) will underscore the campaign with
their fifth annual “little black dress” initiative running from January 7-11.

To illustrate the lack of resources available to victims of human trafficking, each day women
across Volusia County will wear the same little black dress – highlighted on Social Media –
facebook.com/juniorleaguedaytona.

In their annual efforts to provide aid to Human Trafficking victims, the Junior League of
Daytona Beach donates over 100 backpacks – filled with hygiene supplies, clothing and
toiletries – to local law enforcement.

Amy Ringue, President of the JLDB stated, “This is happening right here in our very own
community. The “Coast to Coast” campaign is vital to help put an end to this across the state of
Florida and we are hopeful our joint efforts will help make an important difference.”
The Junior League of Daytona Beach’s campaign includes digital billboards donated by Lamar
of Daytona Beach, with creative provided by Mastando Media.
